Carlsbad, it's a lifestyle!

Carlsbad, California is located approximately 35 miles north of San Diego, and about 25 miles south of
the Orange County line. Carlsbad's lifestyle revolves around the sea, and those who live here embrace
it. Whether it's the sunny days of summer, or an overcast sky in May
or June, residents of Carlsbad call it
paradise. Take a look to see what we "sea".

It does rain in sunny California.
It is not uncommon for the U.S. Navy to be
performing maneuvers off the coast of
Carlsbad. Here's a view from a bluff above

As summer comes to a close, the orange of
autumn casts its hue to the end of another
perfect day in Carlsbad.
As a storm passes through Carlsbad, the
conditions were just right for a "pink" rainbow.
I dedicate this
picture as a tribute to those
ever affected by breast cancer
.
A storm was on the horizon on this, the next
to last day of 2005. The clouds softened the
sun to a warm glow, and graceful winds
reminded me that another year was about to
pass.
Also taken on the next to last day of 2005, the
sun had slipped a little lower in the sky, and
the reflection from the Pacific created a hue
of caramel. I think this is one of the most
dramatic views in "Olde Carlsbad."
Sometimes the best things in life are free,
like this shot. The sunset cast the sky in a
brilliant blue, which made for a postcard view
of a king palm.
