It is not uncommon for the U.S. Navy to be performing maneuvers off the coast of Carlsbad. Here's a view from a bluff above "Olde Carlsbad"

As summer comes to a close, the orange of autumn casts its hue to the end of another perfect day in Carlsbad.

As a storm passes through Carlsbad, the conditions were just right for a "pink" rainbow. I dedicate this picture as a tribute to those ever affected by breast cancer.

A storm was on the horizon on this, the next to last day of 2005. The clouds softened the sun to a warm glow, and graceful winds reminded me that another year was about to pass.

Also taken on the next to last day of 2005, the sun had slipped a little lower in the sky, and the reflection from the Pacific created a hue of caramel. I think this is one of the most dramatic views in "Olde Carlsbad."

Sometimes the best things in life are free, like this shot. The sunset cast the sky in a   brilliant blue, which made for a postcard view of a king palm.
